Value of The Data	This dataset provides a structured overview of the content of biennial transparency reports submitted to the UNFCCC as of 27 February 2025, and an assessment of their performance in terms of enhanced transparency measured along two dimensions: Data and Governance.
Project Information	Knowledge for action to protect tropical forests and enhance rights 2021–2023 (NORD-1782)
Project Description	This project builds on CIFOR and partners’ long-term Global Comparative Study (GCS) on REDD+. It aims to promote effective, efficient and equitable (3E) outcomes in REDD+ implementation by strengthening results-based finance, forest reference emission levels (FRELs), national forest monitoring systems, safeguards, and benefit-sharing mechanisms. Through comparative research and activities in Peru, Brazil, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and Indonesia, the project generates knowledge and tools to support decision-making on reducing deforestation and forest degradation. It seeks to influence policy discourses, foster new narratives, and trigger transformative action. The intended outcome is that policymakers and practitioners in key tropical forest countries design and implement 3E forest-friendly policies and actions, based on co-developed knowledge and capacities.
